Wheat Street Baptist Church is a historical House of God located in the heart of the Sweet Auburn - Martin Luther King, Jr. Historic Site and Preservation District.  This Mighty Fortress is one of the nation's oldest African American Churches with our own member created Federal Credit Union.  Wheat Street Baptist Church pioneered socio-economic development in the Atlanta's inner-city community by the development of commercial and residential real estate such as; Wheat Street Gardens Apartments, Wheat Street Towers for seniors, and Wheat Street Village.  Wheat Street's outreach ministry including the Action Mission Ministry and the Wheat Street Charitable Foundation continues God's mighty work in the vineyard. There is also a place for you at Wheat Street Baptist Church within over approximately 50 groups and auxiliaries consisting of members from toddler age to seniors.  We are looking forward to sharing our family worship experience where our doors swing on welcome hinges.
